How can I avoid getting mono from my roommate??

You can avoid mono by not sharing glasses, utensils, drinks etc… a good cleaning with soap and water should get rid of any residual viral particles. However, I would recommend using a different set of utensils for the next week or so just to be extra careful, or running yours through the dish washer and putting the dry on high heat if you have that option.
